Metas Adventist College Ranchi was founded in 2007 which is a private college in Jharkhand. Attached to Ranchi University and MINE CMAI the college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council New Delhi and approved AICTE. Metas Adventist College occupies a large territory of 22.99 acres of its own and provides a full-time education in nursing and the related programs. The college in its current setup has a strength of total student intake being one hundred and seventy with faculty of nineteen, thus, offering a personalized learning experience. The institute currently presents 7 courses under 5 degree programmes aimed at nursing, management, and computer applications. Since it is a coeducational institution it encourages students from different background hence promoting on coeducation in the academic arena.

Metas Adventist College has numerous campus amenities which help to enrich the lives of the students and make them worthy campus residents. The college library has a collection of more than 4,000 nursing books and subscribes to both national and international journal that is reinforced by internet services. Modern facilities of fundamental, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, community health, pediatric, and maternity nursing equip manikins and miniatures that will cater to essential hands-on methods. The campus also has a hall for events and seminars,mess and a health care center for emergencies. Sports facilities and a gym help to develop physical training among students, IT facilities aide learners in their academic endeavours. For instance, the college has hostels both for boys and girls each having a capacity of accommodating the students with a hostels’ service including security, and a Mess that operates all day.

4 full time undergraduate courses, 2 post graduate courses and 1 diploma course is offered in the institute. Three of these courses have data readily available; the cumulative overall approved intake for these courses is 170. The B.Sc Nursing programme known as BASIC course has a capacity of sixty students per admission while POST BASIC B.Sc programme has a capacity of twenty students per admission. The domicile holding diploma courses, GNM and ANM takes 60 and 30 students respectively. Further, MBA, BBA and BCA programs are also being offered here, but the admission details of the courses are not given.

Admission requirements therefore differs from one program to another at Metas Adventist College. For B.Sc Nursing the candidate should have passed 10+2 and in any field and for B.Sc Nursing pass the percentage should be minimum 45%. The applicants in the post B.Sc Nursing must have completed the GNM and must have scored 45% marks for the 10+2 examination. Diploma course admission process means that a candidate should have a minimum of 40% marks in the 10+2 examination from any stream. The college does not dictate an any entrance exam requirement for admission of their students. But, the candidates who are seeking admission must complete a registration process.
