Methodist Girls Degree College, Roorkee is a women's only college that started in 2002 and is affiliated with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. It is located in Civil Lines on New Haridwar Road and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science.

Methodist Girls' Degree College, Roorkee is affiliated with the college Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Pauri Garhwal.  These courses are B.A., B.Com, B.Sc at the UG level and M.A., M.Com at the PG level with total intake of around 1270 students.

This is one of the major programmes offered by the college is B.Com, with an approved intake of 240 students. The approved intake for the M.Com. programme is for 80 students. With the highest intake of 540 students, the B.A. programme is highly sought after. The college offers two B.Sc. programmes: B.Sc. (Chemistry, Biology, and Zoology) – intake of 60 students. B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) – intake of 120 students. 

Two M.Sc. programmes are available: M.Sc. Chemistry – intake of 25 students. M.Sc. Mathematics – intake of 25 students.  Eligibility typically includes a B.Sc. in the relevant or related discipline. Suited for students aiming for research, academics, or scientific industries. Methodist Girls' Degree College offers M.A. programmes in Hindi, English, and Home Science, each with an approved intake of 20 students. 

The college curriculum is comprised of Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Home Science, Sociology and Economics. The college is very particular about academic growth, discipline and value education, and promises to produce graduates who are socially responsible, morally upright and have both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Besides academics, Methodist Girls Degree College also provides great support for students' learning. It has a girls' hostel with a capacity of about 120 residents and the place is safe and secure.
