MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Aurangabad, was founded in the year 1993. It is one of the esteemed constituent colleges working towards grooming media professionals for the future. Being a co-educational college located in the heart of Aurangabad in Maharashtra, it offers various programmes in journalism and mass communication. It is accredited by NAAC. With a total enrolment of 199 students, it still manages to maintain a very balanced gender ratio while offering 8 courses under 4 degree programmes with specialisations in areas such as electronic media, filmmaking, and broadcast journalism. 

The facilities provided at MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication are numerous, with the idea of giving students all-rounded learning. The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC library) is at the heart of such infrastructure, with more than 6,000 volumes of books and bound research journals. It subscribes to 20 national- and 8 international-level research journals, besides 30 periodicals and 25 major newspapers of repute. No less exciting is the college's IT infrastructure, with its very advanced computer lab, on par with the industry, having licensed software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and CorelDraw to enable students to master pagination skills and layout concepts for newspapers. Coupled with state-of-the-art sports facilities, gym facilities, and separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls with amicable environments in a very comfortable way, it will motivate students toward attaining learning and personality development.

MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication offers a total of 8 courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. All of these are full-time courses, having different specialisations falling under the stream of journalism and mass communication. MA Mass Communication and Journalism is an approved course with an intake of 60 students. The academic portfolio of the college encompasses Bachelors in Mass Communication and Journalism, International Journalism, Sound and Music Technology, Electronic Media, and Film Making (Hons). Whereas, at the postgraduate level, an MA in Mass Communication and Journalism and in Broadcast Media and a PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations are offered.
