Affiliated to the University of Calicut MIC Arts and Science College was inaugurated in the year of 2002 and situated in Mahinabad, Chattanchal ,Thekkil P.O ,Kasaragod District of Kerala state . This institution provides under graduate as well as post graduate programmes in wide fields of study. The college currently has a faculty member of 21 members and offers education in Business Adminstration, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics, Tourism, Economics and English. The college facility is located in the scenic background of Kasaragod and provides an ideal atmosphere for studying and self development.

MIC Arts and Science College has several installations that facilitates enhancement of learning for the students. In terms of the organizational layout the library is well equipped with extra reference and research material and is easily accessed by students at their own time. For technology based learning the college has an IT enabled computer lab with 40 computers in particular for the student of BSc Computer Science, BCom computer application and B.Sc Mathematics with computer application. The institution also has sports activities to ensure students balance their academic life and their exercises. Thus, departmental labs provide practicum, and the cafeteria provides food at reasonable prices. Thus the transport facility of the college helps students to reach the college with its bus facilities operating from Kanhangad and Thalangara on all working days.

The MIC Arts and Science College provides ten courses, these are both Bachelors and Masters level. The course include full time programmes in several disciplines. For example, BBA and B.Com Computer Applications have been admitted with 60 students while the number of seats available for students in BA English, BA Economics, and B.Sc Mathematics is 35 each. The Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) programme balances teaching capacity and quality of programmes offering by providing 48 seats. For post graduate courses the college has taken forty students in M.Com.

MIC Arts and Science College admission procedure is based on merit by satisfying their cutoff mark or management quota based on the course. The duration for the above undergraduate programmes such as BBA, B.Com Computer Applications, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Mathematics, BTTM, BA Economics, and BA English is four years The admission for these courses is done either on merit score of the candidate in their qualifying examination, or on management quota for admission. Likewise, for masters degree like M.Com, the admission is based on either merit or management quota only.
