Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital, Darbhanga, Bihar, was established in 1989. This affiliated college is approved by the Dental Council of India and has a 5-acre campus with a range of different dental programs. MMDCH provides quality dental education and health services with a total student enrollment of 241 and a faculty strength of 225. The institute offers 9 courses in 3 degree levels, having postgraduate departments in all dental disciplines. This MMDCH commitment towards dental education is visible in the range of courses and facilities that are fully efficient.

The college has many facilities for the academic and personal development of students. Well-furnished, separate hostels for boys and girls are available and are managed through a four-tier system comprising resident wardens and an advisory committee. For the BDS course, candidates need to be eligible in NEET and also appear in the counselling conducted by BCECE Board, Patna. Candidates looking for admission in MDS needs to clear the NEET MDS entrance examination with eligible cut-off scores. The applications are invited in the college on the basis of these national level entrance examinations. This procedure makes the admissions quite fair and competitive. The academic calendar of MMDCH converges with the examination and counselling of NEET and NEET MDS. Whereas the college conducts these examinations once a year.
