Modern College of Education, Gohana was established in the Year 2006. It is an affiliated college at Sonepat, Haryana. The institution is co-educational, approved by NCTE, and imparts its specialized programs in education. On a compact 2.174 acres of land, the campus has a total enrolment of 446 students and 22 faculty members. 

The institution has a number of facilities that help in enriching the learning process of its students. There is a well-established library that acts as a knowledge hub with an open access system to faculty and research scholars. It contains a wide array of resources such as CDs, audiovisual aids, training movies, and e-books. Departmental laboratories are the pride of the institution; each one is well equipped to suit the requirements of the concerned subjects. The Social Studies Lab is well equipped with atlases, maps, and a number of teaching aids. The Language Lab is equipped with NCTE-recommended materials. Students can carry out experiments about educational psychology and personality tests in the Psychology Lab. Fine Arts Lab The Fine Arts Lab provides the requisite infrastructure for clay modeling, drawing, and craft work. The Educational Technology Laboratory is well-equipped with projection systems, DVD players, and computers to make students quite familiar with the use of technology in the teaching-learning process.

Modern College of Education offers a total of two full-time courses, both in the field of education. The sanctioned intakes of the B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes are 200 and 50 respectively. The programmes are intended to provide the students with a career in teaching and educational administration. 

The admission process to Modern College of Education varies from course to course. Admission to the B.Ed course shall be on the basis of merit, namely, marks obtained in qualifying examination or entrance examination or both, as per the policies of the concerned state government and affiliated university. In the case of D.El.Ed., the merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 examination following a different approach.
