Motihari College of Engineering, Motihari founded in 1980 and is located in Motihari, Bihar. This affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. MCE Motihari sprawls over a campus of 48 acres and offers 6 B.Tech programmes with a total student enrolment of 942. It has a faculty strength of 23 dedicated professionals. 

It is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna, formerly Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  MCE Motihari has all sorts of facilities that will help students in maintaining a conducive learning environment within the campus. The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with spacious rooms, regular maintenance, and hygienic food services. There is also a health centre well-equipped with first-aid facilities and periodical health checkups by registered medical practitioners to ensure the well-being of the students. The college library is a treasure house of knowledge, comprising an enormous collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and periodicals. For the all-round development of students, MCE Motihari has provided facilities for sports in various outdoor and indoor games such as volleyball, football, cricket, basketball, badminton, and table tennis.

All of its six full-time B.Tech programmes are of four-year duration. These are: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Civil Engineering with Computer Application. 

The admission to all the first-year B.Tech Programs in MCE Motihari is made through BCECE conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Govt. of Bihar. The aspiring students have to appear in both the Screening and the Main Examinations of BCECE.
