Admission Process

Admission in MCE for four years B.Tech. the course is made through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (B.C.E.C.E.) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The candidates desirous of seeking Admission in MCE are advised to appear in Screening & Main Examination of B.C.E.C.E. The details for filling up the form for B.C.E.C.E. is available in its prospectus.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Most of our lab equipment are not in working condition. Most of the students are from Bihar itself. Students have JEE rank varying from 300,000 to 4.5 lakh .The quality and method of teaching are average and the teachers are well enough to complete the syllabus.It is so so in infrastructure.Our clg building is very old.

Starting at a bit college was a good option for me. I felt that my high school did not properly prepare me for the rigorous coursework. I would be taking at a prestigious four-year institution I wanted to be better prepared. I used my two years here to develop the necessary skill to be successful at a four-year institution. I chose MCE college because I was supporting myself and I wanted a college that was both flexible and affordable.But this college is not above par.I am feeling a lot of problems in this college.There are a lack of faculties and resources..

The most important and exciting part is you will end up getting a degree of main campus of MCE.Techfest and cultural events are the plus point for this college.Talking about placement ,if you are an average student you may get placed in companies llike wipro,cognizant for sure. Apart from good part there are also some cons like bad mess food , poor faculty and labs at the price you expense for. So this is my view,hope you make a wise dicision before taking admission. The campus is very small . It has got one of the best locations in Patna.We have regular class timings with 75% attendance compulsory. Hostel accommodation is good but the quality of food in our mess is very bad. Most of our lab equipment are not in working condition. Most of the students are from Bihar itself. Students have JEE rank varying from 300,000 to 4.5 lakh .The quality and method of teaching are average and the teachers are well enough to complete the syllabus. As far as placement is concerned, it's not in good condition nowadays.Those who want to get bagged in companies like Wipro and Infosys, you are welcome here but major core companies have not visited for the last 2 years.I considered all the factors of all the types of colleges and compared it with MCE. So overall experience is neither too good nor too bad.
