MSMS College of Physical Education, Aurangabad was established in the year 1972 as a first institution for the country's future physical education professionals. This is a co-educational college which is located at Khadkeshwar, Aurangabad, Maharashtra and has National Assessment and Accreditation Council approval. This institution is NCTE-approved and the affiliated college, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad is well recognised. This institution has a total student enrolment of 91 with a faculty strength of 11. The institution imparts specialised courses in the field of Physical Education at the Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral levels. 

By and large, the institute does pledge to excellence, and it is quite evinced from its wide range of facilities coupled with comprehensive physical education training. MSM College of Physical Education is focused on a curriculum with only three full-time courses: Bachelor of Physical Education, Master of Physical Education, and Ph.D. in Physical Education. These courses are tailor-made to achieve the objectives of theoretical knowledge blending with practical skills, whereby they will provide the right kind of preparation of students in their diverse careers waiting for them in the spheres of physical education, sports coaching, and related fields. 

SM's College of Physical Education has a sound merit-based admission policy for all these programmes. In the case of B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed, admission is given subject to the performance of a candidature in a comprehensive entrance examination consisting of a written test, assessment of fitness, and personal interview. The percentage in the qualifying examination is also taken into account by the institution.
