The Muslim College of Education is situated at Thiruvithancode, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu and was started in the year 2007 and it is a Co-educational institution. This affiliated college is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) & affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Education programmes that are being provided by the institute are B. Ed, M. Ed, and B. Sc B. Ed as well as B. A B. Ed. With a student population of 270 and a faculty of 35 members the college offers a sound learning atmosphere for those wishing to become educators. They are involved in offering of 5 courses under 4 degree programmes in teacher education and integrated options.

Muslim College of Education has recorded the following infrastructure to complement the academic programmes available in the institution. A good number of books for consumers and patient/guests are available in nearly 8000 books; there are 500 periodical archives, 285 international journals and 500 multi-disciplinary online databases to support students needing information. The institution has a computer laboratory that has LAN connectivity and operates on twenty-four hours of internet connection. Specialised facilities that students enjoy include the Psychology Laboratory, Language Laboratory and Physical Science Laboratory. In this regards, the college provides sports facilities and gym for students to enjoy co curricular activities. It also encompasses an air conditioned multipurpose hall which has a sitting capacity of up to two hundred, it is used for most of the academic and non-academic activity.

For the Intake of the B.Ed programme the admission policy is set by the state government UT administration and the university.
