Nabira Mahavidyalaya, Katol was established in 1961 with the help of a generous donation by the Late Shri Bhikulalji Nabira. It has a beautiful and spacious campus in Katol. It is an affiliated College of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, and aims at giving its students quality education at their doorsteps, which gives them training to achieve their academic goals.

Nabira Mahavidyalaya, Katol is a multi-faculty college having Arts, Commerce, Science, and Management faculties. Besides regular degree courses in these faculties, the college also offers Postgraduate courses such as M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., M.B.A. The college has well-furnished spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, auditorium, a rich computerized library, a Computer Center, a well-equipped gymnasium, a large playground, and a well-furnished Girls' Hostel.

In order to ensure the all-round development of student's personalities, the college arranges various cultural, social, and sports activities around the year. Nabira Mahavidyalaya, Katol is very much aware of the need for continuous improvement in the quality of education and other facilities. For this purpose, the college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell as per NAAC guidelines which constantly monitors the various aspects of academics, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities.
