Nalanda Foundations Polytechnic, Dharwad, came into existence in 1992 and is an affiliated college situated in Dharwad, Karnataka. The following institution is approved by the AICTE and offers diploma courses in numerous fields of engineering. The polytechnic occupies a relatively small piece of land of only 6 acres; however, it offers a narrow specialisation for its learners. The institute is currently running with 43 students and has a 15-member faculty, making the student-teacher ratio quite healthy. Nalanda Foundations Polytechnic has three full-time diploma courses, which are Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Nalanda Foundations Polytechnic (Hubli/Dharwad) is affiliated with the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Karnataka, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Obviously, Nalanda Foundations Polytechnic also offers some of the best facilities with a view to facilitating the students’ learning process. The facility is well equipped with books and resources, especially in the library, which has an index and reference section. Under the Aryabhata Book Bank Scheme, students are provided with an opportunity to swap books and printed notes for each semester. There is also a lit reading area with newspapers, technical journals, and magazines from each department of the library. To achieve this, the college has departmental practical laboratories to provide students with both practical training and theoretical knowledge. The institute has a strong focus on technological advancement, which is revealed by sound information technology facilities with a view to equipping students for the global future. 

In its corridors, Nalanda Foundations Polytechnic provides students with a total of three full-time diploma courses, each taking three calendar years. A total of one hundred and one students are enrolled in the institute through the total intake seats in all the programmes offered by the institute.
