Nalanda Science and Commerce College is an affiliated college established in the year of 2008 at Jhinjhari, Katni, Madhya Pradesh. Located in a 4 acres of land area this institution is authorised by NCTE or National Council for Teacher Education thus supports quality learning in the teaching profession. The college currently offers two full-time courses: The Faculty offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a total sanctioned strength of students 192. This programme intended for the preparation of human resource to teach at secondary and higher secondary level. There is Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) which is a full-time course for two years, to prepare teachers for primary and upper primary section. Both courses are very specifically designed to equip the candidate with a sound theoretical background as well as teaching skills which the NCTE norms espouse.

The selection criteria at Nalanda Science and Commerce College are-derived from marks scored in exams and entrance test as provided by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh and as prescribed by the affiliated university.
