The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi was established in 1977. The NIHFW, an autonomous organization, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, acts as an ‘apex technical institute’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes. The branches in which the courses are offered are Community Medicine Public Health, and Health Care Management. 

National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi also called NIHFW New Delhi courses are Diploma in Health Administration, PGD Public Health Management and MD Community Health Administration. Admission into these courses is given based on scores acquired in the entrance exam conducted by the institute and NEET PG courses. 

Applicants are required to meet the NIHFW New Delhi cutoff as prescribed by the management. NIHFW New Delhi also facilitates separate hostels for boys and girls, sports, a library, an auditorium and many more can be accessed by eligible students.  The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi is affiliated with the University of Delhi, Delhi.
