Nirmala Institute of Education, Panjim Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a collection of about 13900 books on various subjects related to education. It subscribes to various journals and newspapers. The library caters to about 200 students, including the faculty. The library uses SOUL software. Students are issued a password to use the facilities of NLIST online journals. The library supports and helps the students and faculty at every stage to locate the information they are looking for. Book bank facilities are also available for the students. 

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college committee is constituted every year, consisting of students as well as Faculty. During the session, 2018-19 colleges participated in various inter-collegiate events like country, chess, badminton, table tennis, tennikoit, handball, basketball, athletics, and cricket. Nirmala Institute of Education won the runner-up for VLASTOS. Carom board, Badminton, and Football. 

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has two well-equipped IT labs provided for courses in ICT, one in the B.Ed section and one in the Annexe building.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College has two hostels with a capacity to accommodate eighty lady trainees. There are thirty-four comfortable and well-ventilated rooms with electricity. On each floor, in both hostels, there are toilets and bathing rooms with hot and cold water supplies throughout the day. There is a laundry and drying space in each hostel. There are water coolers for drinking water. The residents also have access to television, sewing machines, and electric points for ironing, small heaters, and study space on each floor, in both hostels. In addition, the hostels have two guest rooms for visitors. The rooms are spacious and clean.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The College has started a Placement Cell for the academic year 2019-2020. The Institute has been receiving requests from schools for trained teachers. The
Placement Cell has been started in order to have a system in place to attend to such requests. Besides, the Placement Cell will provide a platform for educational institutions within the State, at the National and International level, to recruit students of this Institute. The Institute helps each student in exploring placement opportunities by permitting various educational Institutions to campus recruitment of students who are in the final year of the program and are likely to graduate at the end of the academic year.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college also provides good classroom facilities for all the students.
