Ocean College of Nursing Bangalore was started in the year 2005 is a well-known institution engaged in providing higher education in Nursing in the state of Karnataka. Situated in Thirumenahalli, this co-educational institute which occupies a land area measuring one acre of land. Recognised by Indian Nursing Council, Ocean College of Nursing provides various nursing courses to the students who want to become a professional nurse. It has 260 students intake and 38 members of faculties making up a competent environment for any student pursuing nursing careers.

Ocean College of Nursing has numerous amenities required for improving the learning process of the students. A good number of books, journals and periodicals including all pertinent areas in nursing and other health related fields is accumulated in a library. The computer laboratory provided with Internet connection helps the student and staffs expose for the updated information and to complete the related projects effectively. At the present time, Ocean College of Nursing has offered three courses in nursing education. These are a four year B.Sc Nursing, a two and half year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, and a three year General Nursing and Midwifery course. The GNM course have an approved intake of 40 only. Each course offers the theoretical information and practical skills, which are important for a proper nursing practice.

The admission requirements for Ocean College of Nursing, an affiliated College of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, have specific goal of identifying and admitting competent and committed student to nursing programmes offered by the College. The college may require students’ performance in relevant subjects, scores of entrance examination, and sometimes they may also conduct interview/ aptitude test.
