Om Prakash Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 2010 to mould young minds into ideal citizens at Siddharth Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college is nestled in the serene surroundings of Bahuar Kala, Jhualanipur. The campus occupies a modest area of 2.5 acres, which offers an ideal setting for learning and growth. The student strength at present is 447. The institution has a dedicated faculty of 7 members to provide personalised attention and quality education. 

Om Prakash Mahavidyalaya takes pride in the various facilities that have been created to enhance the academic experience of its learners. The library occupies a place at the top of such facilities and is counted among the best in colleges around Gorakhpur. It houses more than 16,000 books, periodicals, encyclopaedias, and reference works—a knowledge hub for students and staff alike. The institution also has well-maintained, fully equipped laboratories to meet the practical requirements of learning, along with modern IT infrastructure to help students keep abreast of the ever-evolving world of technology. Sports facilities are also provided to the students so that their inclination towards education is balanced with physical well-being. Currently, Om Prakash Mahavidyalaya offers one varied course. For those who wish to follow a teaching career, the college offers a two-year full-time Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) programme with an approved intake of 100 students. This programme is especially outstanding because it is duly recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education. 

The institute is admitted to a very transparent and fair admission process in Om Prakash Mahavidyalaya. Admission to the course in D.El.Ed. shall be made strictly on merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in entrance examination. The college may consider any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/UT Administration.
