The Oriental Group has been one of the most recognizable names in the field of education since 1995, it has many renowned institutions in Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur. The Oriental Institute of Science and Technology is a co-ed, private institute that is a constituent college of the Oriental University, Indore. The university is the first private university in Indore. The prime objective of the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (OIST, Indore) is to update and modernise the quality of professional education. The college offers 3 degrees and 33 courses for students to choose from. The degrees offered include a diploma, B.Tech, and M.Tech. The discipline of the engineering programme is broad and encompasses a range of more specialized fields of engineering.
The courses offered are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The admission into the courses is based on the national level entrance examination-JEE or on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Before applying for any particular program, a candidate must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. All admissions will be in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute has its own placement department. The institute offers its students a lot of facilities. These include- hostel facilities, transport facilities, a wi-fi campus, a medical room with health professionals, a cafeteria, gym facilities, a library, excellent IT infrastructure, and departmental-based laboratories.

The Oriental University offers a special scholarship scheme to its students, named ASPIRE Scholarship, and is applicable for the full tenure of the program (Yearly Basis). The scholarship is applicable only to the tuition fees and all the other charges are still to be paid by the student. Various categories are created based on the merit of the candidate and then the category-wise fee rebate/exemption is made. The scholarship benefits can range anywhere between ₹13000 to ₹70000 depending upon the merit-based category and the course being pursued by the applicant. Oriental university indore is pretty dope. Infrastructure is top-notch and it has modern labs, wifi-everywhere and library have many books. Hostels are chill, food is decent and the sports facilities on top.
