Pavendar Bharathidasan College Of Engineering And Technology And Science (PABCET) was set up in the year of 1998 and is one of the budding unit of education situated in Tiruchirappalli of Tamilnadu. This affiliated college, located in its vast 27-acre campus, extends its programmes in engineering and management streams. education the college is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE making it to deliver quality education following a set standard. The college today enrols a total of 372 students across its programmes and promotes a active learning environment. Recognising its mission in promoting technical education, PABCET provides 12 courses from three degrees in PABCET for the students to focus on their choices of specialisation.
Pavendar Bharathidasan College Of Engineering And Technology And Science has other facilities that provide that juicy plus on top of learning for the student. Central library is one of the important components of academic library that spread over an area of 13,500 sq.ft with a collection of more then 26200 volumes, 8100 titles and 123 national/ international journal subscriptions. It also has a well stocked digital library with internet connection that enables students access other learning resources obtained through the internet. For the students especially the first and second year students who prefer to live in the school, PABCET has planned the following hostel facilities for the boys and girls respectively to enable them have a peaceful stay. Here emphasis has been set to establish infrastructures for Physical Fitness and recreation, for it has well equipped gymnasium and spacious ground for football, volleyball, basketball, cricket and a indoor badminton hall. To ensure the students’ health needs are met there is a health center on campus with first aid services.
The courses offered in PABCET are broad based and cover areas in engineering and management. The college currently offers twelve oracles: Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering at the baccalaureate level. However, for the postgraduate level, this college provides MBA programme and ME in computer science and Engineering. All the courses are day courses, this enables the students to be fully immerge in their chosen area of study. Approved student numbers in all courses are 372 showing the college’s policy of carefully controlling student numbers to ensure the best class sizes for education.
The admission process of PABCET ensures that there is easy and quality access to its programmes to the target group of students. For engineering courses it admitted students through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) merit which involves the marks obtained by the candidate in the 12th standard board exams. While the MBA programme takes an account of scores from the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test – TANCET.
