PGP College of Engineering and Technology, Namakkal, is an affiliated college which was started in the year 1999 situated at Tamil Nadu, India. Located in a vast land of 25.24 acres, the institute is providing a wide array of engineering and management education. It is certainly a matter of pride that PGP College of Engineering and Technology, after getting AICTE recognition, has won a place in technical education. Total strength of students enroled in the institute is 343 and faculty members strength is 123 and maintain a healthy student-teacher ratio. Having 15 courses in four degree programmes offered, the college offers specialisation in different branches of engineering, computer science and applications, and management.

PGP College of Engineering and Technology is also pledged to offer appropriate teaching aids to its students. Study campuses include wide and modern equipped laboratories for practical training. The 5000 sq. ft. of central library having multimedia facility with over fifty thousand books and one hundred and fifty e-journals and two hundred national and international journals. It also has the reading accomodation to able to conveniently seat 100 people with 60 of them being air conditioned. In terms of hostels, the college offers its students’ separate hostels for Boys as well as Girls. JANS HOSTEL & PG HOSTEL are present for boys and Visalakshi Illam for girls, (Girls Hostel – 01 and 02). Additionally, the campus possesses first aid facilities at the health centre, a gym for exercise, and sports facilities in order to adopt the health, physical, and psychological-developmental model.

Thus, many courses are taught to cater for students’ various needs at PGP College of Engineering and Technology. Course wise the institute offer 17 courses out of which some are undergraduate and some are postgraduate. At the undergraduate level, the college is offering Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer science and Engineering Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering respectively. The college also gives B.Tech degrees in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. For postgraduate, the institute offers ME programmes in computer science and engineering, engineering design, power electronics and drives, structural engineering, VLSI design, and related communication systems. Also, the college has specialisations of MBA and MCA programmes for those students who want to have mastery in management and computer applications respectively. All these courses are full-time programmes aimed at offering strong subject content and Technical Competence in respective fields.

Admission policy in PGP College of Engineering and Technology is treated fairly. The college ushes entrance scores and allow students to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Common Engineering Entrance Test & Admission (CEETA-PG)/, and the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). These exams act as a basis through which the aspiring students can succeed in their try for a slot in the programme of their choice.
