Basically, co-education institution, Pragathi College of Science and Management Studies, Chintamani is an affiliated college situated at Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka state was established in the year 1998. It is a coeducational institute and has numerous undergraduate programmes in sciences, commerce and other managerial sciences. It operates in the medium-sized plot area of about 1.5 acres and enrolls total students of 347 with the 17 qualified teachers and staffs. Here at Pragathi College, we offer 8 specialised courses across 4 programmes to best fit every student’s learning and career goals.

The college has various infrastructures that are aimed at improving learning processes and personal advancement of the college learners. A small playground is provided for sporting activities and it is ideally meant for athletics and related outside games. The college has always prided itself in having university level athletes and has produced numerous trophies and championships. For academic and extracurricular events there is a reading hall turned into a seminar where the event is accompanied by the use of the technology like LCD projector. Library as a part of academic facility has a collection of over 3000 volumes, 20 periodicals and 10 English and Kannada newspapers and a comfortable study atmosphere for students.

Currently, the college’s academic programmes of focus include Commerce, Business Administration, and several sciences.JComboBox. This institution has been given an approval to admit 610 students in different courses of study to cater for the desire of aspiring students. Among all the programmes, B.Com needs no introduction as it has the highest intake of 300 seats thus making it the most sought after commerce programme.
