Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology (PBIT) started in 2008 and is located in Mudimyal, Chevella Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Andhra Pradesh. This co-educational institute has been functioning in the sphere of engineering education for more than ten years. PBIT is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); this means that the institution implements the standards of the Technical Education in the country. The institute currently has 33 dedicated faculty members, who are fully recovering the institute’s mission to offer quality education in several specialisations of engineering.

Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUK), Kakinada. The infrastructure of Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology has all amenities required to shape constructive and effective learning of the students. In order to meet and indeed compensate for the fast-changing environment in technology, PBIT has developed and installed a strong I.T. base whereby students get to practice using a variety of modern tools. The campus also has a food facility in the form of a cafeteria, where students can take breaks and interact with fellow students in the course of the day. Social facilities include an auditorium, a cafeteria, a library, and Computer Laboratories. Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology also cultivates cultural and character developments for events and gatherings. 

At the moment, Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology offers a total of 8 courses, four BE programmes, which include a 60-intake capacity for each programme. These are BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering, BE in Computer Science and Engineering, BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and BE in Mechanical Engineering. The college also has ME in VLSI Design, Power Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, and Embedded Systems. The offered diversity of courses provides students with opportunities to select a subject area they would like to focus on and follow a particular occupation. Collectively for all four programmes, the annual intake is 240 students, making cohort enrolment very exciting on campus.

Admission policy at Pragna Bharath Institute of Technology tries to be successful and non-discriminatory in the determination of the appropriate students to enrol in its engineering courses. Though PBIT is AICTE approved institution, it is expected they use scores from engineering entrance tests of the nation for admission, and for this information, it is relevant to contact the institute.
