Prajyoti Niketan College is the affiliated college located at Pudukad, Thrissur which was started its journey in 1995. This institution occupies 21.78 acres of space and it has been NAAC accredited. Overall 8 programmes are foreseen in 5 degrees with college students enrolment of 839 in total. It has a faculty strength of twenty therefore maintains a good student-teacher ratio for Prajyoti Niketan College. To enhance the practical experience, the college has developed department based laboratories such as Language Lab which is being used for communication development programme and Electronics Lab where students are able to conduct practicals. Indoor physical fitness is facilitated through a qualified gym with different days for boys and girls.

There are in total 8 courses available at Prajyoti Niketan College; 5 Undergraduate, 2 Postgraduate, and 1 Doctorate. All our offered courses are full-time, so the students will get the complete education in their respective disciplines. The college has been given an overall approval to admit 208 students in the college for the undergraduate courses offered and there are some more extra intakes for post Graduate and Doctorial courses.

The admission process to this college is as congenial as possible to accept as many students as possible according to their merit standings. While A 1500 benchmark has been set in General Category for admission to the Ph.D. Psychology programme, it becomes more selective having a provision for scores of national level examinations such as UGC-NET/JRF, UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF, SLET or GATE.
