Prakash Mahavidyalaya, Hardoi was started in the year 2013, and this university is in the youthful age among all the universities in Uttar Pradesh, India. Located at the Hardoi-Kanpur road near the Water Tank, this college is gradually establishing itself in the growth to education. The institute is housed in a small area of 2.64 acres of land which make a conducive environment for learning the students. The college has 2,221 students in total and has a faculty of 12 which makes Prakash Mahavidyalaya provide more student-specific curriculum to the students. They are proud to offer a wide variety of facilities in the college which enriched the students. 

The central library is at the core of its academic resources; Prakash Mahavidyalaya, has a current collection of about 800 titles of books, reference books, text books, journals and magazines of different disciplines. These are wealth of literature that gives support to the undergraduate programmes offered by the institution. This was done after considering the needs of students from different cities and states, the college now has hostels of boys and girls each having the accommodation capacity of 100 students. It should provide a comfortable accommodation to these students from other provinces so that they can avoid the stress and unnecessary worries of accommodation while attending their studies.

Prakash Mahavidyalaya currently offers two full-time programmes. Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), both are of three years’ duration. These courses are for students who have variety of specialities, giving those students fundamental knowledge of arts and sciences.
