Priyadarshini College of Education, Nagpur, was established in the year 2003. It is one of the prime educational institutes specialising in training teachers. This co-educational college, located at 156,  Sonegaon Talav Road, Nagpur, is a constituent unit affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. The institution had been assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council as a measure of its adhering to quality education. Priyadarshini College of Education has a total intake of students to the extent of 139 and offers two specialised degree programmes with a goal to develop professional teachers who will shape the future of this country. 

Students at this college have various facilities that assure its learning environment is comfortable. A knowledge centre in the form of a library is provided, well-stocked with a variety of reference books, textbooks, and periodicals pertaining to education and research. The psychology laboratory is equipped with various psychological tests to get practical knowledge about educational psychology. A well-established, spacious science lab helps the students to learn many concepts in theory and practice. There is a modern computer lab with networking, which is an integral part of today's education, for the students have to be able to use computers and be connected to the internet. Another important facility in the college is an auditorium for various co-curricular activities and other programmes. It has separate boys and girls hostels in the campus to make the out-of-town students comfortable. Other facilities, such as a health centre with first-aid help, sports, a canteen, and parking spaces, make a complete professional campus life.

Priyadarshini College of Education offers two full-time courses in teacher education. The undergraduate and postgraduate forms of education, that is, the Bachelor of Education and Master of Education, have been so designed as to make a student's career in the field of education bright. The approved intake for both programmes is 50 each, aggregating to a total of 100 seats for the two courses. 

The Admission into Priyadarshini College of Education is mainly based on the performance in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). This is an important Test in the selection process for admission to B.Ed and M.Ed. The college has 51% reservation for Hindi Linguistic Minority Students, thereby offering inclusive learning.
