PSGIMSR Coimbatore was established in 1985. In the early days, it was only a hospital later was developed and recognised as a college. PSG Medical College is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. It has been ranked 40th under the medical category as per NIRF 2023.
PSGIMSR provides a range of educational programmes including 34 courses at various levels, including diplomas, undergraduate degrees, postgraduate degrees, and doctorate degrees.
