Pune District Education Association's Baburaoji Gholap College, an institution perennial in nature, was established in 1989 on the premise of Sangvi, Pune. Within the last three decades, the college has been working in that direction. The institution NAAC accredited and endorses quality education. PDEA's BGC had a diversified student body of 3,251 enrolments and a faculty strength of 99 in both academic disciplines and miscellaneous courses.

The impressive range of facilities available to support learning and student development—from a well-equipped gymnasium for fitness enthusiasts to the in-house cafeteria where students can unwind and interact with one another. Now, with the advent of modern technology, today's world has been approached within accessible ranges to the students for academic purposes. It comprises enough parking space for all the students and staff members. Along with it, the guestroom facility is offered to the visiting faculty and family members of the staff members.

PDEA's BGC has as many as 28 courses under its 11 degree programmes. The courses are multiple so that the diversified aspects of academia can be taken care of. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, but with a higher focus on full-time study modes. A number of streams of studies include the mundane categories of arts, commerce, and science but extend towards more specialised disciplines like Computer Applications, Environmental Science, and B.Voc M.Voc Fashion Technology.
