    PDEA CARC is, indeed an institution of ayurvedic education and research that has been established in the year 1990 and has grown to become a prime institution for ayurvedic education and research at Pune, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated and approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine. It offers a variety of programmes for Ayurvedic medicine. PDEA CARC stands on a campus of 2 acres and can accommodate 591 students. It has a faculty strength of 63. 

    The overall learning process will be complete in PDEA CARC. The college has provisioned various facilities for academic and personality development. The central library acts as a knowledge centre, containing books and journals on the latest research works and developments in the Ayurvedic field. It supports the students to remain updated with current researches and developments in the field of Ayurveda. It provides well-equipped laboratories where students can conduct practical experiments and research, which is highly beneficial for MD and Ph.D. scholars. The college also has a spacious auditorium with full audio-visual facilities for seminars and other events. The boy and girl hostels also provide the facility to avoid inconvenience in campus. 

    The PDEA CARC, an affiliated college of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, offers 25 full-time courses at various levels of Ayurvedic education, primarily at the Bachelor's degree level. Of course, the flagship programme of the college is BAMS that forms the basis of Ayurveda studies. The college provides a wide range of MD and MS programmes at the postgraduate level, in the specialised areas of Ayurveda, such as Ayurved Samhita Evam Siddhant, Dravyaguna Vigyana, and Panchakarma. For those students who wish to take up research, the institution provides Ph.D. programmes in several disciplines such as Samhita Siddhant, Sharir Rachana, and Kayachikitsa.

    PDEA CARC follows national standards in the admission processes, and for BAMS programme eligibility, a candidate has to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for the respective year. MD and MS courses have the scope of postgraduate admissions where candidates have to give the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). Eligibility for the courses is as per the CCIM guidelines and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

    PDEA CARC is strictly done on the basis of national standards followed by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The cycle of PDEA CARC admission begins in May-June for programmes that begin their academic year during August-September. 

    PDEA CARC Application Process

    The application process for PDEA CARC varies with each programme:

    PDEA CARC BAMS Application Process

    • Qualify the NEET-UG examination
    • Apply for state-level counseling (since PDEA CARC is a private college, it might be involved in state-level admission procedures).
    • Fill the PDEA CARC application form according to the guidelines of the state counseling authority
    • Attach the required documents, such as the NEET-UG score card, 10+2 mark sheet, and other certificates as mentioned.
    • Pay the PDEA CARC application fee as finalised
    • If shortlisted, go through counselling.
    • In case a seat is allocated, report to PDEA CARC for the document verification and admission procedure.

    PDEA CARC  MD/MS Application Process

    • Clear the AIAPGET exam.
    • Seek admission to the state-level PG AYUSH counseling procedure
    • Complete the application form for the MD/MS programmes of PDEA CARC
    • Submit AIAPGET score card, BAMS degree certificate, completion of internship certificate, etc.

    PDEA CARC PhD Application process

    • Application form(s) with research proposal following the guidelines given by the college
    • Entrance tests and interviews as conducted by the college

    PDEA CARC Eligibility Process

    The eligibility criteria for the BAMS programme in PDEA CARC is: 10+2 with compulsory subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates who have completed their BAMS degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply for postgraduate programmes like MD/MS. PDEA CARC accepts NEET-UG scores for BAMS admission, and AIAPGET scores are allowed in the process of MD/MS.

    PDEA CARC Degree-wise Admission Process

    The PDEA CARC offers 25 full-time courses at various levels of Ayurvedic education, primarily at the Bachelor's degree level. The course specifics are listed below for students to review.

    PDEA CARC BAMS Admission Process

    The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme at PDEA CARC has an intake of 60 seats. The PDEA CARC admission is determined on the applicant's NEET-UG exam score.  Eligible candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

    PDEA CARC MD/MS Admission Process

    PDEA CARC conducts 14 specialisations in MD/MS courses with a total of 60 seats. The admission is done through AIAPGET scores. Qualifying criteria for AYUSH MD/MS courses are according to CCIM and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Candidate must have a BAMS degree completed.

    PDEA CARC Ph.D. Admission Process

    The college offers a Ph.D programme in 10 specialisations with a total of 42 seats. PDEA CARC admission procedures for Ph.D programmes may include some additional criteria set by the college and the affiliated university. Candidates would typically need to have completed their MD/MS in the relevant specialisation to be eligible for Ph.D programmes.
