The College of Science and Technology established by Pune Vidyarthi Griha in the year 2008 is one of the premier educational institution based at Mumbai, Maharashtra. Being a co-educational college this institution is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate courses in science, commerce and management. Situated in a campus of 2.36 acres, PVGCST has been striving to make its distinct identity in the world of higher education. The college has a total student enrolment of 587 students and operates with a staff of 18 professional faculty members. PVGCST currently provides for five courses across three degree programs in order to complete a course of study a student is afforded numerous opportunities to achieve his or her academic goals.

This objective clear implication is exemplified by the institution modern infrastructural base and the comprehensive facility it possesses. PVGCST campus is fully equipped with modern facilities in and out of the class that have been specially arranged to improve student learning experience. The college provides good libraries, laboratory facilities, and enhanced Information Technology facilities for both research and academic work. Students are privileged to have a cafeteria, playing fields, gym, and cultural and academic hall to cater for their talents and skills in drama, music and dance. Internet connectivity within the compound guarantees the students are connected and has ease accessing internet borne resources. 

The college admits students to a number of undergraduate courses – B.Sc IT, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Com, B.Com (Banking & Insurance), and BMS. Every proposed course is a three-year full-time course. This means that the college can handle a large number of students as highlighted in the table below Table 4: Total approved intake for these courses is 486 students. Incorporation of both theoretical concepts and practical skills also makes graduates of PVGCST to have proper preparation for their working areas.

At PVGCST there is a merit basis system for admission hence needy and deserving candidates can easily gain admission to the university of their preferred disciplines. The college has online and manual forms that are to be filled in with details and other relevant documents to the college. The college provides the following government scholarships available for students: SC, ST, OBC, SBC, VJNT. There are these kinds of financial aids for the students that target Students according to the high or low-income levels and categories and performance in their courses so that the financial obligation of further education is eased.
