PES is an accredited institute offering diploma programmes in various engineering fields. PES admission procedure is designed to be merit-based and fair, such that only deserving candidates are admitted into diploma programmes. PES admission procedure is conducted on the basis of the merit list prepared for the entrance examination conducted at the state level.  PES admission process is based on the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) conducted by the DET Board, Directorate of Technical Education and training (DTE&T), Odisha. This entrance examination is conducted at the state level every year for aspirants to obtain seats into three-year diploma programmes at the institute.

PES Application Process

Admission to Puri Engineering School, Puri involves several steps for application:

• Candidates should first apply for the Diploma Entrance Test conducted by the DTE & T, Odisha. This generally involves filling an online application form and playing the application process.
• Candidates must sit the associated DET on the given date. These subjects usually covered by the syllabus at this level are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• After the successful conduct of the exam, the DTE & T, Odisha declares the results; candidates can check their scores as well as their ranks online.
• The candidates passing must register for the counselling process that DTE & T, Odisha conduct.
• Category certificates if they belong to a reserved syllabus
• Any other types of documents specified by DTE&T, Odisha
• Candidates choose the courses and colleges, including PES, during counselling.
• Assigning seats based on the candidate's rank and choices. If a candidate is assigned a seat at PES, they should confirm the offer of acceptance.
• After the seat is allotted, candidates are expected to remit admission fees to reserve their seat at PES.
• Lastly, finally, admitted students need to report at Puri Engineering School, Puri on the date decided along with original documents and fee payment receipts to complete the admission process.

PES Eligibility Process

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent study in science subjects may appear for the entrance test. The dates for the application, examination, and declaration of results of the DET will be published by the DTE&T, Odisha, and it is advisable for aspiring students to keep a track of all developments on official websites rigorously.  As soon as the results for the DET are declared, the counselling process commences, wherein PES participates in the centralised counseling process organised by DTE&T, Odisha. PES Diploma in Civil Engineering Process

Diploma in Civil Engineering: PES offers a three-year programme with an intake of 60 students. PES admission is based strictly on the merit of the candidate in the DET conducted by the DTE& T, Odisha, and this will also be done through the central counselling procedure.

PES Diploma in Electrical Engineering Admission Process

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: 60 seats are available for the diploma at PES. For the consideration of admission, it follows the same procedure as that for Civil Engineering, demanding candidates to qualify in the DET and attend the centralised counselling.

PES Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Admission Process

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: The programme offering approved intake of 60 students follows the same admission procedures like all other diploma programmes in PES. Candidates have to clear the DET and then take part in the counselling organised by DTE&T, Odisha.

PES Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Admission Process

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The programme also has 60 available seats. PES admission is entirely based on DET rank, while the seat allotment is done through the central counselling mentioned earlier.

PES Documents Required

For verification during counselling, the original documents of the candidates will be presented. This will normally include:

• The rank card for the DET
• 10th and 12th admit cards and certificates
• Domicile certificate only if applicable
• Category certificates if they belong to a reserved syllabus
• Any other types of documents specified by DTE&T, Odisha
