Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women, Salem, was started in the year 2005, and it is one of the leading colleges for women to shape our future. The affiliated women’s college in Veerachipalayam, Sankari, West Salem, Tamil Nadu, established by the apostle of education, is an approved institution by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Measuring an area of 5.7 acres, the college is located and provides a conducive ambience for those willing to become teachers. The total enrolment of the college is 116 students and a faculty of 22 members, so each and every student is paid attention to, and the management provides quality education.

Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women offers two full-time courses, a B.Ed. programme of one year duration and an M.Ed programme of two years duration. Similarly, both programmes take two years to complete and the institution’s dedication towards a proper teacher education programme. The B.Ed programme is currently approved for a hundred seats, and the M.Ed has fifty seats only. This means that the student intake will be 150, and it opens too many opportunities for women who want to pursue careers in this field.
