Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women, Salem, was started in the year 2005 and it is one of the leading college for women to shape our future. affiliated women’s college in veerachipalayam sankari west salem, tamil nadu established by apostle of education is an approved institution by national council for teacher education(ncte). Measuring an area of 5.7 acres, the college is located and provides a conducive ambiance for those willing to become teachers. The total enrolment of the college is 116 students and faculty of 22 members so each and every student is paid attention and the management provides quality education.

Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women also has many flexible structures and technologies to support the learning of its students. This facility of state of the art girls’ hostel offers safe and comfortable accommodation facility to out station students. The library which is an important source of knowledge is being replenished with textbooks, reference materials and journals as on a continuous basis to enable academic activities. Training facilities include modern and sufficiently equipped laboratories that allow conducting practical classes, and the auditorium can be used both for carrying out various events and seminars. College canteen provides variety and has South Indian, North Indian and Chinese menus. For those who have interest in sports and gym the college has very good ground and the facility of gym is also available.

Rabindranath Tagore College of Education for Women offers two full-time courses, a B. Ed programme of one year duration and an M.Ed programme of two year duration. Similarly, both programmes take two years to complete and the institution’s dedication towards a proper teacher education programme. The B.Ed programme is currently approved for Hundred seats and M.Ed has Fifty seats only. This means that the student intake will be 150, and it opens too many opportunities for woman who want to purse careers in this field.
