RSPM is an Alwar-based teachers training college that was established in 2006 and is named Rajasthan Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya. This affiliated, NCTE-approved college offers courses in the field of education & trains the students to be effective teachers. Located in a small plot of 1.6 acres, it has a strength of 346 students on roll and nineteen members on its faculty. Across two courses, the college offers three full-time courses in two degree programs, namely integrated teacher education and B. Ed. courses. It is UAVS for boys and girls, so it accepts both genders and creates the proper conditions for education for all students.
This college boasts of providing improved facilities to the student, in this respect and in many others. Its information technology gives the student’s body a way to access modern technology so as to enhance their studies. A properly equipped library is provided for students to carry out research and other studies. For snacks and gossip, there is a cafeteria where students can take a break and mingle on the compound. The college also provides easy transportation for its students through a facility that is dedicated to this function. Business-dedicated labs fulfill practical experience requirements, while sports complexes maintain the health of learners as well as teamwork. Other facilities are an ample parking area, an auditorium for occasions such as meetings and seminars, accommodation for guests, and an infirmary that has treatment facilities for ailments.
The RSPM offers a total of three full-time programmes, all of which are related to the field of education and are offered to students as a training ground for future Shiksha Pathshala teachers. The programmes currently offered by the institute are two interlinked course combinations: the B.Sc B.Ed and BA B.Ed both for four years and another two-year B.Ed course. These courses have an approved intake of hundred seats and spread over these programs would mean that the total student intake would be three hundred. This focused approach enables the college to keep focused on teacher education, bearing in mind that students enrolled come from all parts of the country with different academic abilities.
