Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic at Chamba, is an affiliated college, set up in 2007, situated at Banikhet, Himachal Pradesh. ESTABLISHED BY. This is a government institute with approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and provides technology education from its 7.5 acres beautiful campus. It admitted 193 students in total assuming maximum enrolment while the faculty strength of the polytechnic is 6 which makes the chance of focused learning possible.

The polytechnic thus boasts of number of features that are meant to improve the experience of the students. A full fledged library is in place having the collection of 290 titles 1528 volumes along with 10 technical journals to?! Updating the knowledge of the students with latest improvements. RGGP, Amravati currently operates two competency based full time diploma courses each of duration of three years. The Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Electrical Engineering programmes each have an approved intake of 40, and with the corresponding Diplomas each being a 80 seat programme. These programmes are meant to give the students a strong footing about the subject that they are undertaking so that they fit well into technical positions.

However, applicants normally undergo some basic requirements that include qualifying for admission in to the institute and meeting technical education board requirements of the state.
