Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Srikakulam Campus was established in 2008 to fulfil the higher education needs of the students in Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh, situated at S.M. Puram, Etcherla Mandal. This university is owned by the state government of Maharashtra; however, it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide quality education and technical knowledge in different technical disciplines. It has integrated B.Tech examinations, which are preferred by students to seek higher education in various engineering fields. The university ensures that students get an all-round education in their chosen field of study. 

There are, of course, a number of amenities available to the students in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, which is located in Srikakulam, to help the students in the overall development of their personal and student lives. The programmes at RGUKT Srikakulam Campus include 8 B.Tech programmes, which give students the right knowledge and practical experience about engineering as a discipline. The courses include B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Such programmes are designed to be flexible yet integrated packages from the undergraduate to postgraduate options. The Computer Science and Engineering has the maximum number of seats, i.e., 120 seats, and the other three programmes offer 60 seats each, making the total of 300 seats of all courses. The variety of programmes provided to students helps students select a field of study that will be beneficial for their future careers.
