Ramanand Arya DAV College was established in the year 1988 and is affiliated with its college located in Bhandup, Mumbai. The campus of the institute spreads over an area of 1.45 acres and is NAAC-accredited. The college accommodates a total strength of 3344 students with a fair male-female ratio of 1857:1787. The institution is affiliated with Mumbai University. The institute also offers 10 courses across 6 degree programmes specialising in the fields of Commerce, Management, and Information Technology.

Ramanand Arya DAV College has provided various facilities for the student experience. The 2nd floor contains a library which has a huge variety of books and periodicals on courses pursued as well as general interest topics.  For academic performances, the college provides departmental laboratories and excellent IT infrastructure for students. Two-year postgraduate programmes are offered by the college: M.Com with specialisations in Accountancy and Business Management and M.Sc in Information Technology. The college also provides Ph.D. courses in Business Policy and Administration.  

Admission procedures in Ramanand Arya DAV College vary course-wise. Undergraduate courses will be on the basis of 12th standard marks. Postgraduate programmes, however, should have the valid bachelor's degree according to percentage requirements by the college. Admission to the Post Graduate programme in Business Policy and Administration is based on the Performance Entrance Test conducted by the University of Mumbai. The university maintains contact with its alumni through the active functioning of an Alumni Association that contributes to social service, gives feedback, assists in co-curricular activities, and aids in raising fund and placements.
