Ravi Shankar College of Education, Chitrakoot, established in 2009, is committed to the future generations to build up an educational institute. This co-educational college is situated in Satna, Madhya Pradesh and it is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college teaches three specialisations in education with a total student intake of 93 students. Offering an emphasis on the educational aspect of the training of teachers, the institute offers fulltime study for an undergraduate and postgraduate degree thereby, allowing the students to succeed in the profession.

Ravi Shankar College of Education has some among of equipment that aides in the learning process of the candidates. The fully equipped library is a source of information and knowledge and complements the college vision of producing ideal human beings out of the pupils. Therefore, to improve the health of the students, the school has a medical facility with first aid assistance. The college playground is available for volleyball and other sporting activities to make sure that the college physical strength is built up though these activities. In all, Ravi Shankar College of Education provides three full time courses, all of which are in teacher education. These include, undergraduate programmes are two and postgraduate programmes is one. The B.Ed programme has the maximum number of intakes that is 100 followed by the M.Ed programme and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) having a seat intake of 50 each. All these programmes take two years to complete and their aim of offering adequate training to those intending to be teachers.

The admission procedure of Ravi Shankar College of Education is centralised based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and /or entrance examination. As for the B.Ed programme, it conducts admissions according to the norms set by the State Government, UT Administration, the University to which the college is affiliated to. The admissions in the D.El.Ed also work in the similar manner as laid down by the norms of the State Government or UT Administration. For the M.Ed programme, the requirement for entry may include an entrance examination or any other that the state government, university or UT administration may deem appropriate.
