Rayat Institute of Pharmacy at Railmajra was started in 2003 and it is one of the reputed pharmacy colleges in the state. Situated at Rupnagar, close to Chandigarh in Punjab this affiliated college has come to be established as a key contributor to the discipline of pharmacy. Duly recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi the institute comprises undergraduate and postgraduate level courses. Rayat Institute of Pharmacy has a total area coverage of 5.3 acres wherever the current intake capacity is of 95 students and its faculties are only 8 in numbers. The commitment of the institute to quality education is reflected on the availability of the courses it offers; B.Pharma, D.Pharma and different M.Pharma majors.

Rayat Institute of Pharmacy proudly boasts of the availability of modern infrastructure that supplements the learning process of the learners. Rayat Institute of Pharmacy is offering five courses in total, out of which three levels are degrees. The institute offers regular courses full time course, the main course of the institute is B.Pharma which is a four years course approved capacity of 100 students. The D.Pharma has admission capacity of 60 and M.Pharma has 3 specialist courses namely 18 seats in Pharmaceutics, 18 in Pharmacology and 9 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. These programmes are a little bit unique and prepare students for elective areas of pharmacy service delivery in order to enhance their skills in specific areas of their interest.
