RDS Degree Mahavidyalaya of Study for girls at Kundabai, Mayurbhanj district of Odisha was established in the year 1999 and is affiliated college. Situated on a vast area of 10.56 acres, this institution has been continually achieving great heights in higher education over the past two decades. The college is affiliated with National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which shows competency to sustaining good academic qualifications in the college. It has a strength of 780 students and 24 faculties; the college offers 14 courses under four degree programmes so that students can choose their interested fields.

RDS Degree Mahavidyalaya is equipped with diverse infrastructure intended to improve learners’ performance and personal growth. The library is well-stocked containing almost everything a learner might require to supplement learning acquired in class. To science students, the departmental laboratories offer practical exposure which is important for appreciation of concepts. The college appreciates the centrality of technology in today’s learning and has put in place robust information technology resources including wireless connectivity throughout the campus.

RDS Degree Mahavidyalaya has a rich list of the undergraduate courses, thus meeting the needs of the learners with variation in their areas of specialty. It has got 14 full time courses in arts and science, Under Graduate programmes Stream. In the arts stream, student has option like BA Sanskrit Hons, BA English Hons, BA History Hons, BA Political Science Hons, BA Odia Hons and BA Education Hons. For the science lovers the college provides B.Sc in Zoology, Micro Biology Mathematics Physics, Chemistry & Botany and B.Sc computer &Information Science Stream. 

As per directions by the Government of Odisha through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), the admission in RDS Degree Mahavidyalaya is also totally online. This system of admission guarantees that everyone who wants to study carries out this activity in a very clear and organised manner.
