The institution has its own campuses in 3 major cities of India, and Visakhapatnam is one of the most beautiful campuses among these three. The college has all the modern facilities including large libraries, laboratories, seminar halls, auditoriums, research labs, etc. The college has provide good infrastructure and greenery of the campus is well maintained
Academics
The teaching of our teachers is very subpar, which is concerning because on paper they are very qualified, having PhDs and all. But if we ask them any doubts, they will explain very well. Our course curriculum is relevant, but we cannot say it will make us industry-ready because they don't give us any practical training; all they teach us is mechanical workshop. Our semester exams are very easy, so not to worry. If we prepare the day before the exam, we will generally pass. The pass percentage is mostly above 90%.and most of the teachers have exicilent knowledge in there specific subject and have polite nature towards the students
Placements
This year, fewer than 40% of students were placed, possibly due to a package of 18 LPA, which was off-campus. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are TCS, and the majority of internships are summer internships in a few IITs like Hyderabad, Delhi, and Tirupati. If students are interested, they can apply to other companies for industry experiences and they also provide training for the students for getting required skills set for the company

Currently I am pursuing my MBA from IIM Shillong and I will be graduating in 2025. I will be reviewing the college by talking about some of the important aspects in brief: Hostel facilities: The institute has two campuses. The new campus is in Umsawli and the old campus is in Nongthymmai. While majority of the activities takes place in new campus only, old campus is still used as hostel for the junior batch. As a result, First year students have to travel 2 hours daily to and fro, between these two campuses. The hostel facilities in the new campus are just amazing. Mess facilities: Even though the institute tries to offer as much diverse menu as possible, but in terms of food quality the experience is not that good. Food options are many, but quality suffers.
Academics
IIM Shillong follows the IIM curriculum strictly. Most of the teaching revolves around the case based pedagogy. Professors are of higher quality except a few, which is very normal everywhere. Even though academic rigour exists there, but not as rigorous as Ahemdabad or Lucknow.
Placements
One area in which IIM Shillong has stood apart from the other IIMs is Placements. IIM Shillong has been given the tag of 'Fastest growing IIM'. The term BLACKI which is used for the best IIMs is now getting transformed to BLACKIS, which itself is a proof of the recent top placement records.

The library is the best place to go in the college. The entire 2-storey building is the place that gives solace. It is the only college after SRCC that has its own swimming pool. The new academic block rooms are comparatively bigger to accommodate more people.

Academics are the main focus of the college. The professors are focused and tend to pay attention to tutorials in which they tend to the doubts of the students. This is a common thing in IPCW. Tutorials are taken seriously.
Placements
The placements have taken pace now. Even Bain and company come for analyst roles to the college now. It is a good place where placements happen. S&M roles are usually sales-focused, though, by now. However, the prospects are good.
Campus Life
The campus is not very far from the North Campus, so people can go on a spree and socialise even in their free time. Maju ka Tila is also minutes away, so it is quite feasible to go at any time.

There was no placement assistance by the college actually in 90s placement assistance usually don't provided by the college. We need to take care for our placements on our own by walk-ins ,referrals and more.

The campus life is very vibrant, and the vibe of the campus is very welcoming. Debates, discussions and other political seminars are happening every other day in the campus. Also, Sports events and different cultural events are regular part of life.

I'll always cherish my time a The safest and best college in India for women. Women of any age can come and pursue education and commence their career. They provide hostels for every student and even have teacher's quarters. Every facility is provided including food and canteen and fate for enjoyment as well. I am currently doing masters in business administration in rural development. I opted for this particular course because I always wanted to do something in the field of rural area and I think that this course provides best opportunities for my dreams

Although the have many courses here and for some of them the placements are also very good but our this particular course the placements are not up to the mark. From here the average placement package is not more than 50000 a month

The best thing is that other college students and boys also not allowed into the college because it's a women's college and the location is safe. But they will not conduct so many activities for students

After joining this college I improved my communication skills because they will provide some professional skill class for every month ( ones or twice), they will teach practical things in weekly twice or thrice, but they have less books in library as compared to other college libraries, only 20% students can read books at a time in library. I am staying in girls hostel in this two branches girl students will be there and the hostel food is bad at beginning but now they are particular (it's good)

Absolutely stunning!!! Can't describe exactly in words but it would be greatest time of your life spent ever. You will enjoy the atmosphere around the year, but also required to do hardwork. Various cultural activities throughout the year including sports weeks and other fun activities.

Fantastic and classic infrastructure, no such issue in terms of facilities but the college really needs to work on the infrastructure as it is a bit old as compared to other colleges, so it looks a bit outdated sometimes according to my experience.

Well the academics are also fantastic. I faced no such issues in terms of academics I got to understand each and everything I studied from this college and I have gained the lot of new skills also. I would definitely say academic are good.

Well the placement side of this college is of it average. I would say it could have been much better as compared to other colleges but I can say that the placements are fair enough. In short they are good but could have been much better.

Classrooms are well maintained. Laboratory is also very good. We also have research centers like Microbial Diversity and Research Centre and Cancer Research and Translational Lab where students can join as student trainees during summers. We have a digital library. We also have an offline library, and reading hall is available on our campus. The boy's hostel is under construction, and the girls' hostel is decent. We also have a gym facility.

MBA infrastructure was very Good it has good facilities also each lab contains more than 65 computers with good Wi-Fi. A classroom has 60 members and there is a well defined library with a thousand of books without any charge. The hostel food is below average.

The teachers are helpful during semester exams and there are qualified. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum makes us job ready but we have to gain skills for it. It is very easy to pass the examinations with out any tension.
Placements
Most of the students get placed during oncampus placements. The highest package offered is 6 LPA and the minimum package is 2.6 LPA. Top MNCs are IBM, Wipro, TCS, HCL, DXC, Hexaware, etc. 5% students got internship from CSE department. e.

The infrastructure and facilities of our college are below average. Classrooms are outdated and labs are above average. The library lacks resources and there are limited sports facilities with secured Wi-Fi spots. Hostels are outdated and serve average food. Medical facilities are not available.

Some teachers in our college are helpful but most of them are rude. They teach students by studying and browsing a night. The teaching quality is poor. The course curriculum is good but students should read on their own. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is above 70%.

Around 60 to 70 students out of 100 students get placed on campus. Good roles are offered to my college students. Faculty support for the placements is very good in my college. Most of the students are well settled after MBA
