The college campus is spread in 50 acres. The classrooms are designed with technologies like projectors. The college has all the residential programmes, so it is compulsory to live in hostels. Hostels are clean and hygeinic but mess food is average. There are other facilities available on campus like medical facilities, atm etc.

I'm studying Bcom hons. The quality of teaching here is something which the college is very serious about. They get the best teachers from around the world who have a lot of experience in the field. They stay on campus and are available to students 24*7. The course currilum is updated.

There are some top notch companies who turn up the college for placements like KPMG. College is also able to land the students in the compulsory two month summer internship. The average salary offered in our course is 30k.

The placement is not that good in our department . Only 30-40% students get placed. The package they get are also very less . But other than that internships are also provided by these companies that visit our college.

We don't have all the facilities, and some of the equipment are not in working condition. We have the newly installed projectors and a cc in each class,in library we have only a single counter for renewal and issue of the books,and coming to the sport centre their is limited number of kits for the students to play and restrictions in the timing to play and the food in hostles is poor it does not have taste.

I am studying in mechanical branch and the reason is I have intrest in that branch and its the best college in our locality and the teaching is not that good and the curriculum is updated one and touches the recent development in the field.

Coming to the placements we don't have the core company like only 2 companies comes to hire the students and among them one Is purely for girls and the other is not quite regular and our college does not allow all the interested students to attend the placements they only ask the students who have payed the amount.

The rules in our college is worst we dont have freedom in our own college. Support from our teachers is quite good and location is very good and it is safe and it can meet the emergencies as we have our own ambulance

The university is good as compared to other colleges when it comes to infrastructure. The uni is trying to develop its infrastructure with each passing day. The best thing is that labs are very developed laced with new technology and machines. In my perspective, the infrastructure is good enough to learn, inspire, create, develop skills and have fun.
Academics
In first year, the teachers are not good because they are on a need basis academic arrangement. But after 2 semesters, the professors are too good. The curriculum in IUST (I think) is mostly job oriented and for developing related skills.
Placements
I think when it comes to placements, IUST is the best in Jammu and Kashmir, better than NIT Srinagar. Various companies come to IUST to hire students (mostly Btech and MBA students are hired). Reputed companies like Byju's, Ashoka Leyland, Extra marks education etc. visit IUST to place students. The placement cell of the uni is quite friendly and cooperative.

The campus life is good too. Our uni's campus is so vibrant, colourful, full of enthusiasm. The life inside the campus is so great.

Living spaces are clean and food is hygienic but there are some problem with north-indian people as the food they provide doesn't suit those people properly.

Academics of this institution is too good. I am studying BE in ECE. Quality of teaching is too good in this college. Curriculum is properly updated and they improvise the curriculum based on the current technology. Yes, they include all the recent developments in the field. This study can make anyone job-ready without any doubt. Only the thing is they take 3 internals in a semester. HOD or Dean send emails regarding some internship which is damn interesting.

Quality of placement depends on one's study. If he/she has studied properly, he/she can get good placement in this college. Nearly 80-90% students in were placed from my branch. Highest package was 32 lac per annum in my branch. One student from CSE department got placement with annual package of 55 lac per annum. Average salary offered was 7-8 lac per annum. Placement process is not so difficult but not so easy also. Before placement, they try to shape student properly.

Campus life is good. Students are engaged in various activities. We have lots of clubs in our college and we actively participate in all those. We have some club events also at the end of semester which is damn interesting. Location is quite good. It is safe and can handle all types of emergencies.
