RPA College of Education was started in 2008, and it is one of the premier institutions situated at Marthandam, Tamil Nadu. This co-educational college is have affiliation to state university and specially offer education in teacher education, which is authorized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It has received an accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) pointing towards quality education. Stretched in an area of 0.5374 acres, RPA College of Education was an ideal place for academic learning on Teachers education specifically. Currently, the college has 149 students and 16 faculties, which makes a coherent student-faculty ratio of 1:9 that means students get proper care and attention they needed from their professors.

The sanctioned intake for B.Ed programme is 100 and it clearly indicates that the college has the ability to moulds a large number of budding teachers every year. This focused approach enables the college to focus its effort and all the required expertise towards the delivery of quality teacher education.

The admission of the students in RPA College of Education is strictly on merit basis, as prescribed by the state government/Union Territory administration and the university to which it is affiliated. It follows the marks obtained in the previous class or equivalent examination and the performance in the entrance test.
