Rural Teacher Training College, Nalanda, was established in the year 2015. Located at Prabhu Nagar, Shekhpura, Chandi, Nalanda, Bihar, this college is an affiliated college. The co-educational institution is approved by NCTE and specialises in teacher education. Spread over a compact campus of 0.749 acres, with a total student enrolment of 82 with a faculty strength of 17, the institution presently offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed, catering to aspiring educators in the region.

The Institute has several facilities to enrich the learning processes among its students. There is a well-equipped library that will act as a knowledge hub, with all basic amenities necessary for teacher trainees. In Rural Teacher Training College, the admission to its courses is different from others. The B.Ed course includes admission at the discretion of the Director of Higher Technical Education, probably at the state level, through an entrance examination in addition to merit-based admissions. The D.El.Ed course gets the admissions on a merit basis, considering the entrance test conducted by it.
