Sakthi Mariamman Engineering College [SMEC] was established in 2001 and is one of the leading colleges of Tamil Nadu, located in Chennai. SMEC currently has seven degrees full-time undergraduate engineering programmes in total, which award the “Bachelor of Engineering” (BE), except for the Information Technology degree, which awards a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). They offer several courses in the following specialisations: automobile engineering, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering and information technology.
