About SMIT Berhampur
SMIT was set up in 1980 as an engineering college in Berhampur of Odisha state, it famous now as Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology. This affiliated college, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi, extends its facility with a number of engineering programmes over its 22 acres facility. SMIT Berhampur, or as it is fondly called, has an intakes of 139 students and 46 full-time faculties & professionals. In regarding to the institute, their passion in delivering quality technical education is reflected by their variety of offered courses and equipment.
SMIT Berhampur boasts of possessing all round development infrastructure facilities to provide all round development of the students. The campus has different hostels for boys and girls and the accommodation with quality meals are very cheap. For the purpose of students’ training, a qualified gymnasium facility is provided to keep the students fit. The college boasts of a well stocked library that has over a decade thousand volumes for engineering and technology journals and superb reading hall that is opened for 12 hours. Service aids include a digital library which provides fast access to online learning aid. For health related problems there is a health center in the college with basic first aid amenities. Transportation is also easily arranged through the Institute’s 35 luxury buses that access students from several areas of the city to the Institute.
Academic programmes that are available in SMIT Berhampur are as follows They offer six full time B.Tech programmes in engineering. These are four-year undergraduate courses most of which are intended to produce 240 first-degree engineers in total. The programmes are B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering. There are different intakes based on the specialisation offered at the school and whereas Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering intakes are 60 then all other kinds of intakes are of 30 seats each. This kind of variety enables a student to pick his or her area of specialty of his or her choice in an area of specialisation.

Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology B.Tech Admission Process
Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology provides six four-year full-time B.Tech programmes. These programmes are admitted on the basis of performance of the candidate in JEE Main or OJEE. The following B.Tech courses are provided by the institute:

College Infrastructure
No we haven't all the necessary equipment like smart classes,labs and equipment's. Class rooms are highly big in dimension but in modern environment collage infrastructure is same like old.In mechanical laboratories all equipment's like material testing requirement are not available. Libraries is well settled but not advance.At the time of 2015 -2016 4 hostels are available but till 2020 there is no improvement.
