Saraswati Girls PG College is a higher learning college in the region starting in Manoharpur, Shahpura, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Being functional since 2009, this women college focuses on catering the needs of female students for more than a decade. Located on a small piece of land of area 2.14 acres, the college provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The total student enrolment capacity being 722 and number of faculty members being 17, this institute is able to deliver good student faculty ratio. The college is also recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to maintain certain standard of the college in case of offering teacher education programmes.

Saraswati Girls PG College provides 10 courses including 3 different degree levels to ensure students’ various academic demands. The institution consists of undergraduate and postgraduate course offerings and all are full time courses. Undergraduate programmes include processes of integration developed on B.A. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, all of which have a capacity of 100 students per programme. These are degree programs that offer a teaching credential along with a Bachelor’s degree and ready the students for practice in teaching for four years. The college also offers separate programmes in BA and B.Sc disciplines. At postgraduate level the institution offers Master of Arts in huge subject fields like Hindi Literature, Sanskrit Literature, English Literature, History, Geography, and Political Science etc.

The admission procedure at the Saraswati Mahila Mahavidyalaya differs with the course type. In case of the integrated B. Ed., programmes (B.A B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed) admissions are made through Pre-teachers education test PTET conduct by the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Ajmer as per Govt of Rajasthan policy. This entrance examination therefore guarantees that only those candidates most suitable for teaching receive the nod. For other undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes, it can be assumed that these programmes are also merit-based, taking into account result of previous academic records.
