Sardar Gyan Singh Memorial College, Gwalior, is one such college affiliated to and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college handles courses exclusively for teacher education programs and has set up an adequate admission process by which it selects qualified candidates on its courses.

Degree-wise Admission Process

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
Sardar Gyan Singh Memorial College offers a one-year diploma in D.El.Ed to train primary school teachers. Admission to D.El.Ed is entirely on merit with respect to qualifying examination and/or entrance examination marks. Candidates who have completed 10+2 education can apply for the D.El.Ed course.

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The B.Ed program offered by the college is a two-year course. Admission for the B.Ed program is based on merit whereby marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination are considered. An eligible candidate must be one who has completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition, the selection process may include additional criteria as per the policy of the state government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university.
