Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan Institute for Teacher Education College is found in Shimla, HIMACHAL PRADESH and is well known it is focused on training future educators. This co-educational institute was set up in 2006 and it has been developing individuals for more than 15 years. Built in the beautiful town of Rampur Bushahr, the institute occupies a mere area of 1 acre for the campus. It has received recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) since it is an affiliated college that has offered its commitment in offering quality education for teaching.

The institute feel proud to provide number of facilities to make learning more effective and interesting of its students. The college has provided accommodation facilities including the sports facilities for those who have passion for the games, there is also the auditorium that will be used for event and seminars. The library in the well equipped with references that are useful in academic activities. The facilities also include departmental laboratories, health center with first aid facilities and a gym for physical exercises for student’s health. The facilities for the campus include a canteen, good Information Technology services, the availability of adequate and secure parking and bus services, which create a suitable learning atmosphere.

Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan Institute for Teacher Education has only two Full time programs under the discipline of education. The B.Ed program has an approved number of 200 students, and 50 for the M.Ed program. These programs are intended to provide the student with a background as well as the competencies that would lead to successful practice as a teacher.

Admission procedure in Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan Institute for Teacher Education is on merit basis as per rules and regulation of state govt/Union Territory administration and the University to which it is affiliated. While admissions to B.Ed program, the merit scores on the qualifying examination and any entrance test that the candidate may have taken are considered.
