Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH-SIT) is one of the reputed institute has been set up in the year 1985. This constituent college of JNTUH is in Kukatpally, Hyderabad and has as large area of 81 acres of land. JNTUH-SIT is affiliated with NAAC and recognized by AICTE, and has made its excellent academic recognition credible in India. Five post graduate programmes of the institute, four M. Students welfare is equally important and the institute has different hostels for boys and girls with approximately 800 and 530 student respectively. There is a health centre with 8 beds, a full-time Medical Officer, and a part-time visiting specialist who caters medical problems. For physical well being as well as for recreational activities, JNTUH-SIT has a Gym and Sports Association with basketball and volleyball courts and a cricket pitch.

The courses taught at the JNTUH-SIT to abide the growing needs of the IT sector. The institute offers five full time programmes, of which are two years duration each. These include four M.Tech specialisations: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networks and Information Security and Data Science each with 18 intakes respectively. Also, the annual intake of students in the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is 30. Altogether, JNTUH-SIT has a total of 102 seats as part of its various programmes that indicate zeal to cultivate a surplus of highly skilled IT professionals.
