Sengunthar Arts and Science College popularly known as SASC is one of the leading arts and science colleges was started in the year 1991 in the heart of the town Tiruchengode, Namakkal – Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college located in a vast 22.5 acre land has been on the forefront of strides in higher learning for over 3 decades now. SASC functions under the NAAC and follows approval from the AICTE to provide quality education to the students. The college has 2,055 student enrolment and ninety-five faculties which makes the college sufficiently diverse and EO interested.

Sengunthar Arts and Science College has exquisite and several accommodations which have been installed to help the student’s experience be more effective. A well-equipped library extending a floor area of 6,800 sq. ft., the college possesses more than 27,215 books and 216 international journals and magazines for the authorities and students to explore. For out-station students, SASC has accommodation structures for boys and girls to make the students feel at home. The now features well-equipped laboratories that serve the different departments in the in teaching, research, and practical tasks.

Sengunthar Arts and Science College has 31 courses offered in 11 Degree programmes to meet different pursuits of students. The curriculum offers undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral courses in streams of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Of these, the college provides 14 full-time under graduate programmes, 8 full time post graduate programmes M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes with considerable research focus. Some of these courses that can be named are MCA, which has 60 seats, which is a full time course and B.Sc Biotechnology, which has 40 seats, and is also a full time course.
