Consequently, Seshasayee Institute of Technology (SIT) Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu established in 1952 is an autonomous institution. Recognized by AI CTE, SIT provides choice of diploma and post-diploma courses in various faculties of engineering. The institute occupies the area of 12.676 acres, with total enrolments of 1006, including the faculty members of 18. SIT offers seven full-time diploma courses in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Computer Engineering and Paper Technology.
SIT Tiruchirappalli boasts of well equipped infrastructure that accommodate the needs of the students in their learning process. The institute has equipped well equipped modern laboratories to provide practical training facilities with state of art instruments.
